Treat Stains Right Away
Treat stains immediately to avoid ruined clothes.
I use a Thieves Household Cleaner Recipe in a 15 mL roller bottle with 1 capful thieves, 1 capful laundry detergent, 10 drops of lemon, fill the rest with water.
Sort Laundry Automatically
Save time by using a sectioned laundry hamper to sort your laundry automatically.
Use Cold Water
Save money on your energy bill by using cold water to wash your clothes. It also helps your clothes hold their colour for longer.
Dryer Balls
Swap out toxic dryer sheets for wool dryer balls. You can add essential oils if you’d like to add scent to your laundry.
Dry on Low or Hang to Dry
Make your clothes last longer and save on your energy bill by hanging special items to dry and drying on the low setting.
Do a Load Every Day or Two
Stop being overwhelmed by massive piles of laundry by doing a complete load every day or two with a few extras on the weekends if needed.
Mesh Laundry Bags
Prevent bras, swimsuits, etc from stretching out by washing them in mesh laundry bags. You can also use them to prevent losing kid’s socks.
Lint Basket
Have a small basket or container by the dryer so you can easily empty the lint trap.
Wash Certain Items Inside Out
Increase the longevity of printed tshirts and dark jeans by washing them inside out.
Use Natural Products
Reduce your family’s exposure to chemicals by using natural laundry products. We use Thieves Laundry Soap and white vinegar for washing our clothes.
