Hello lovely ladies! I’ve been super busy doing our taxes – I know, super last minute! Which is why this Wearable Wednesday post is coming out on a Thursday morning. I can be a queen procrastinator at times and with the tax deadline at the end of the month I am literally leaving it to the last few days. I keep telling Matt we need to get more on top of his books and do things on a monthly basis, but we always leave it to April. You think I would learn!
None the less I have promised you guys I will stay consistent with content, and although this post is ever so slightly late I am still making sure it is going up today with a video post tomorrow. Which means today I am finishing this post, doing a FB live interview with the lovely Sarah De La Coeur (Check it out at 3:00 pm today!), finishing Matt’s taxes, filming and editing a video (5 minute no makeup makeup look. You know you want to check that out tomorrow!), then writing the blog post for it, oh and I have client work today too. Let’s just say I have quite a bit on my plate today, but I always find a way of getting through it. Enough of a life update though, lets get to the post.
Stripes are a huge trend this season and they can be worn in so many ways. You can rock a cute striped peplum top, striped blazer, striped skirt, or even some cute striped accessories. I’ve linked some of my favourite finds below and it is taking so much self control not to buy them all! Generally I’ll rock a more casual stripey look with a cute striped tshirt, but when I came across this striped dressy top at Chai Fashions, a super cute local boutique where the owner designs pretty much all of the clothes and hand picks fair trade accessories available in the store, I knew I had to get it. It’s super soft, fits great, and my must have for any piece, it can be dressed up and down.
I paired it with these plain black jeggings for a cute office outfit. You know I love my boho vibes so I topped off the look with this cute silver turquoise necklace that I got for a great deal from Ardene and this fringe clutch that was on sale at Forver 21 last year. If you want a more classic look you could swap out the necklace for a string of pearls or a simple chain, and swap out the clutch for a red handbag and add some pumps. If I was going for a more casual look for summer I would pair this top with some cute cut off shorts, strappy sandals or wedges, and some long layered necklaces.
