Casual Outfit for Work

This Casual Outfit for Work post is the last of my Trendy Tuesday February series, and it will be my last Trendy Tuesday for a while. As much as I loved all of the content I have been able to put out this month, posting 2 – 3 times a week is just too much with my full time job and school. That being said as soon as I am able to make this a full time gig I would love to put out at least 3 posts per week.

Over the past while I have been deciding if I am going to finish the last 2 courses required for my Business Admin Diploma, or not. This blog has been growing and it is something I want to turn into my full time job within 2 years. I have always pursued a career as being self employed, and this is something that I am extremely passionate about and love doing. I fear that I will be forced to put it on the back burner to finish my last 2 courses, and that is something that I am not willing to do. I have decided that I will not be returning to school come September.

I took about a month to fully think about my decision. There are so many factors, on one side it’s only 2 courses, it only makes sense to finish them up, and it’s not like I have that much left to do anyway, and I’ve put in all this effort so far. The other side is that this is something that I fully believe in that, I think will be the next step in my life where I am pursuing a career doing something that I love, using all of my previous knowledge from school, and I am not willing to put it on the back burner for another year just to get some piece of paper. I’ll still have 2 certificates in my field, and a wealth of experience for above many of my classmates in the diploma program, it’s not like I won’t have done all of this work for nothing, and I will likely finish my courses once I leave my current full time job. It’s just a little much to have 2 full time jobs plus school, there’s no way I could keep sane and do everything to the best of my abilities.

Like I said this is something I am wholeheartedly passionate about, and I know in my gut that this is the right decision for me. I am a very ambitious person, and I always get what I work hard for. I know I’ll have some resistance from my parents, and other people will try to push me into completing school, but I am happy with my decision and I am going to stick to my guns on this one.

People may not understand what you are doing or why, but the important thing is that you know, and you stick with it, and persevere until the very end. What makes sense for most people may not necessarily make sense for you. If you know in your gut what is right, then stick with it no matter what anyone else says.

It’s your life and you can carve out your path in the way that you want to, and I am going to carve out my path wearing leopard flats with my head held high. I know it won’t be easy, but I know it is the right decision for me.
