Hey guys! As you’ve noticed I’ve been a little quiet lately and I wanted to update you with all of the things that have been going on for me, and what’s been going on with the blog.
About a month ago we learned that I’m pregnant! Although it happened sooner than we were planning we couldn’t be more excited with the news. Matt and I suck at keeping a secret and we had to share the exciting news with all of our close friends and family right away. After getting engaged in Mexico and sharing most of our happy news through text it was really important to me to share the news in person as much as we could which made for a very busy week or so, but I’m so happy we were able to share our happiness that way.
I have been beyond lucky with the pregnancy and haven’t had any morning sickness at all. There will be the odd passing of nausea, but it never lasts more than a minute or so. That being said I have been extremely tired all of the friggin time, and it’s been really hard to deal with. For about 2 weeks all I wanted to do was sleep all day and all night. That combined with our family visits I let all of my work slide to the back burner for a little while. I just found it so hard to sit down without yawning and practically falling asleep. It was really hard to focus.
After a couple of weeks I knew I had to catch up on work and find a way to balance everything with my new tiredness. I caught up on all of my client work and still pushed blog work to the side. I’ve tried different ways of dealing with my tiredness. I tried sleeping in, but that only pushed my afternoon slump a little later in the day. I researched the crap out of it, but in the end it comes down to just being a part of the pregnancy and there isn’t much I can do but accept it. There’s no natural energy drink solution for this mama.
So I am pushing through the tiredness and learning how to schedule my day differently so I can get the most important things done when I’m feeling most productive, and letting myself rest when I need it. It’s been a struggle structuring my day since starting to work from home, and now is the time to figure that shit out.
With everything that’s been going on I’ve also been thinking about the direction I want to go with this blog. Should I change up posting times? What kind of content do you guys like seeing best? Should I add posts about pregnancy and motherhood, or will that turn people off of the blog? Should I keep focusing on Instagram, or should I shift focus to Facebook , Twitter, or YouTube? The thoughts and questions have been endless, but I think I’m starting to get a good idea of where I want to go with everything, but I want your input first.

My goal has always been to inspire young women to find their happy through fashion, beauty, and living a healthy, positive lifestyle. I’ve received lots of great feedback from all of you, and I’m so happy we’re able to start our little community here, and I want to continue to build this into something even greater. I appreciate every one of you for however long you have been following me, and I’m excited for what’s to come in the future.
