It’s been a while since I’ve done an Ipsy Glam Bag review and I’m debating if I should continue to do them or not. If you read my last post you would have seen that I put a short survey together asking you guys for some feedback about the blog. So far subscription box reviews have been rating quite low when I asked what kind of blog posts you like. So if you guys would rather see other posts, then I will stop posting the reviews to make room for other great content 🙂
So if you like these kinds of posts please complete the super quick 10 question survey. It really helps give me an idea of what you guys like to see and I super appreciate you taking the time to complete it. Plus, you’ll be entered to win a giveaway featuring some of my favourite brands!
Subscription Box: Ipsy Glam Bag
Cost: $9.99 USD, CAD $20ish including shipping
#1 Travel Size Blending Bud
This little blending bud is the perfect size for travel and seems to be of a decent quality. To be honest I’ve converted back to using a brush to apply foundation because I feel like you are able to keep more of the product on your face. I don’t know about you, but no matter how wet I can make the blending bud before I use it I still feel like over half of my foundation ends up on the bud instead of my face, and that stuff is way too expensive to waste! Value $9.99 USD, 30% off coupon code included.
#2 Probiotic Recovery Cream
We always hear how good probiotics are for our insides, so I feel like they must be good for our insides too, and the results seem to say yes they are! Lately my skin has gone completely crazy with pregnancy hormones and I’ve noticed many different patches on my face can be quite dry and red. After using this 2 nights in a row I already noticed the dry spots starting to dissipate, yay! Value for full size $68.00 USD, 10% off coupon code included.
#3 Nail Polish
With my gel nails and laziness painting my toes I didn’t get around to trying out this polish. I love the vibrant colour and the reviews online seem to be quite positive. It seems to be of a really good quality with only 1 – 2 coats needed. The only downside listed in reviews is that it can take longer to dry. Value $6 USD, 25% off coupon code included.
#4 Aqua XL Eye Pencil in M-10 Matte Black
I’m quite impressed with this water proof eyeliner. I swatched it on my hand and it has a great deep black pigment, a definite must for me. It’s buttery soft and glides on smooth. The impressing part was that it lasted fairly well all day long after washing my hands several times. This eyeliner is going to be my summer time go to. There’s nothing worse than jumping out of the water and having makeup run all around your eyes. Value $30.00 USD.
#5 Whipped Lip & Cheek Soufflé
I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked this liquid lipstick. It seemed a little bright to me at first, but once I put it on I realized it’s the perfect shade for summer. It goes on smooth for a nice creamy finish that doesn’t dry out your lips. It doesn’t last all day long, I needed to reapply every 4 hours or so. Value $6.00 USD.
Total value approximately $75.99 USD!
As usual I’m pretty happy with the June Ipsy Glam Bag. I’ll continue to order them, but I probably won’t do any more reviews, unless you guys say that you would like to see more on the quick survey I put together. Again, I super appreciate everyone who takes the time to fill out the survey <3 You’ll be entered into a giveaway for filling it out too!
