Make sure you have everything you need for a fun day at the beach. Don't be the one who gets a bit crispy after forgetting their sunscreen, make sure you pack what you need with these 20 items to take to the beach.SUMMER FUN ESSENTIALS

Stay hydrated all day long with some infused water, and bring some snacks to power you through the day. It’s important to stay hydrated while you’re out in the sun having fun all day, we all know heat stroke ain’t nice for anyone. While you take care of your insides, make sure to take care of your skin by wearing a hat and lathering up with sunscreen throughout the day. I like to use a face sunscreen for my sensitive skin, and a high SPF body sunscreen. Neutrogena has a line that works great while I look for a more natural alternative. If anyone knows of any great natural sunscreen brands I’d love to hear about them!

When you head to the beach make sure to bring a separate blanket to sit on and towel to dry off – there’s nothing worse than trying to dry off with a towel covered in sand when you already have sand all over you from having fun all day. Bring some entertainment with a fun floaty, magazines, and a frisbee. You may just meet some new people or have some great laughs with friends by playing frisbee or seeing who has the best floaties. There’re so many cute ones out in stores now, you’re sure to find one that suits your personality. I’m still on the lookout for a fun pineapple floaty, but my tootsie roll one does the trick for now. While having fun with friends it can be easy to lose track of time, and sometimes you end up leaving later as the weather gets a little cooler. That’s why it’s always a good idea to bring a long sleeve shirt or sweater of some kind.

If you want to save yourself in an emergency make sure to pack some tissue paper to use as toilet paper – I can’t count how many times this has saved me. It’s also a great idea to bring a tampon or 2 – you never know when you, or someone you know, may need it. Cash is also a handy thing to bring. You never know when you might need change for parking or something tasty from a food truck. And of course, you can’t forget a good pair of sandals, and your favourite sunnies.

BEAUTY BAG

Make sure you have everything you need for a fun day at the beach. Don't be the one who gets a bit crispy after forgetting their sunscreen, make sure you pack what you need with these 20 items to take to the beach.

It’s always a good idea to bring a small beauty bag with some basics like chapstick. Lately, I’ve been using some Soulful Sister peppermint natural lip balm from Migration, a local boutique, and it works great, I’m hoping they carry a cinnamon one. You’re also going to want to bring along face wipes to freshen up (again, I love Neutrogena but would love to learn of other more natural brands), and a hair tie to keep  your hair out of your face. Hair ties also come in handy for impromptu braid sessions with the squad! You also want to take care of those tresses and embrace your beachy hair with some leave-in conditioner and/or salt spray. I like to spray some leave-in conditioner, extra on the ends, and finger comb it through my hair. Then I scrunch it up with some salt spray like this one from my Summer Fab Fit Fun Box.

  • Leave in conditioner or salt spray
  • Chapstick
  • Face wipes
  • Hair ties

ELECTRONICS

Keep your tunes rolling with your phone, wireless speaker, and a backup battery charger. I got both this battery charger and speaker from previous Fab Fit Fun boxes.

  • Battery charger
  • Speaker
  • Phone

All of this may sound like a lot when it’s all listed it out, but it fits together quite nicely when you use little bags to help organize things like I did. Everything fits great in an average sized beach bag like this one from Tina Turk and, and you guessed it, Fab Fit Fun.
