Hey guys, and happy early Canada Day! If you’ve been following me for a while you would know that I love braids, and with all of the summer fun ahead over the next few months it makes for a great time to do a braided ponytails tutorial. I’ve brought together 3 of my main braided ponytail styles that all build off of each other. They start out easy and get harder as you add more braids. They work great for slicking back your hair while still looking cute which is great for BBQ’s and the beach. They would also pair great with some of the outfits I showed you for my recent 20 Canada Day Party Ideas post from the beginning of the week.
The tutorial starts out with a single dutch braid giving you a hot mohawk inspired ponytail look. This is a great beginner braided ponytail, and my go to for a cute ponytail that doesn’t take too much time.
Then I add a dutch braid on each side of the head. This is the more difficult of the 3, but with all 3 of the braids it makes for a super fun look for a fun event or a special night out.
Then you have the option of testing the waters with just the 2 dutch braids on the side and adding some volume on top for a nice slicked back look.
So without further adeau let’s get into the tutorial…
There ya have it, 3 fun braided ponytails tutorial. If you recreate any of these looks I’d love to see them!
